Your Officiant

Your ordained, secular officiant is Jennifer Schmidt.

Jennifer specializes in discreet and private ceremonies numbering twenty five persons or less total, along the Monterey Peninsula Coast. 

Ceremonies can be held anywhere from private residences, beaches, historic parks, the Big Sur River, your yard or elsewhere.

Officiant Services

  • Tier one (1) - $200

    • Choose from three pre-written ceremonies with vows, perfect for the weekend elopement on the beach at sunset or in a Historic Monterey Park. Officiant available/on-site for up to thirty (30) minutes. *Limited locations on Monterey Coast. $75 retainer. The ceremony is tailored to fit you and your event.

  • Tier Two (2) - $275

    • Choice of multiple pre-written ceremonies, with customization. Officiant on-site/available for up to one hour. *Limited locations on Monterey Coast. $100 retainer.​

  • Confidential Elopement - $150

    • A brief prewritten ceremony, while still being intimate and special. Service is limited to the couple with a confidential license and the minister. Limited service areas, days, and times. Please inquire by email or phone about this service. 

  • Witness Fess $50 - $100

    • For those with a public license needing a witness on short notice, we do officer witness service as well. Pricing dependant upon location and time allotted to obtain witness.

REMINDERS / General Information

Marriage License: You must be in possession of your marriage license on the day of the ceremony. Please ensure that you have your witness(es) lined up (for standard license holders). We do offer witness service for an additional fee if needed.

Valid ID: Both parties must have valid current ID (which includes a photo) on hand after the ceremony in order to sign the marriage certificate.

Returning the License: In Monterey County, a couple may return, in person, the signed license to the Office of the County Recorder after the ceremony, and request a certified copy on site. I am happy to return your license by mail within five days of the ceremony. It is up to the individual couple(s) to inquire with their county recorder to obtain their certified copy.
